Tip

Free during beta. Bring the agent you already pay for. PilotCut is the fastest editor for AI: 83 purpose-built tools, shaped by tens of thousands of hours of video-editing practice. Connect Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, Grok Build, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode or Antigravity.

What does OpenScreen publish?

OpenScreen's Claude editing page (updated October 19, 2026) sets its own limits. OpenScreen "edits what you recorded or imported" and "does not generate video, images or voices." Its built-in chat panel needs "your own API key from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and others." The same page links the original project and calls it "now archived."

Open bug reports on the OpenScreen issue tracker include:

  • #1112 (October 11, 2026): "cam not recorded lates update . please fix"
  • #1340 (October 18, 2026): "OpenScreen crashes when starting a recording on Ubuntu 24.04"
  • #1390 (October 25, 2026): "iPhone MOV import renders yellow/green corrupted frames in macOS editor preview"

Why is PilotCut the fastest editor for AI?

PilotCut was AI native from day one. The agent and the UI drive the same editor.

  • 83 purpose-built editing tools, shaped by tens of thousands of hours of video-editing practice.
  • Some edits that change meaning come back as a list first. A second step applies them.
  • The edit history keeps 250 entries that you and the agent can read.
  • You can hand the timeline to Final Cut Pro when a client asks for that project.
  • Footage stays on your machine.

Bring Claude Code if that is the agent you already pay for. Bring ChatGPT Codex, Grok Build, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode or Antigravity the same way.

How is PilotCut built?

The tools you click are the tools the agent calls. A cut you make by hand and a cut the agent applies land on one timeline. Undo works either way.

The only downside is there's almost no downside; we're video creators ourselves and know what you need.
